'Superbrands' authority will advance the agency’s proprietary growth framework

Stephen Cheliotis has joined Gravity Global in the newly created role of global brand insights director. He will advance the growth framework – called F.A.B. (Fame. Admiration. Belief.) – that has produced significant gains for such brands as NVIDIA, AkzoNobel, Embraer and GE that compete in complex markets. His appointment follows a significant expansion for the agency in the US propelled by a series of acquisitions over the past year.

Stephen founded The Brand Network and has run The Centre for Brand Analysis (TCBA) since 2006. He is chair of Superbrands UK and the CoolBrands Council – a role he will continue while serving Gravity Global. Over the years, he has seen many Gravity Global clients become Superbrands by marketing according to the agency’s F.A.B. framework, which identifies and capitalises the competitive factors that drive growth in market share. The impact and increasing investment in F.A.B. attracted him.

“I now have a team of data analysts and research strategists to analyse complete marketing performance for brands and deliver readily actionable results,” said Stephen. “I’ve got a significant martech stack at my disposal to source that data, and technology platforms to better visualise their performance. We can find opportunities for clients to outperform their competitors and achieve transformational growth.”

Stephen will be based at Gravity Global’s London office and will work with teams from Gravity’s 15 offices worldwide. He will be a keynote session speaker at the B2B Ignite conference in Chicago in May.

“Stephen increases the depth of strategy we can deliver for our clients globally,” said Mark Lethbridge, chairman of Gravity Global. “Increasingly, we’re decoding complexity for businesses, which requires us to bring together strategy, data, innovation, and technology to find the answers that unlock performance.”
