Grannies Wanted for WWF National Sweater Day

WWF-Canada is bringing back their Granny Call Centre for National Sweater Day. And this year, they’re putting out a call for more Grannies.

 

Actually, they’re asking Grannies to call them.

 

At 1-855-FIND-GRAN (That’s 346-3472).

 

When you call the number, a sweet Granny invites you to leave a message, reminding grandchildren everywhere to wear a sweater and lower the heat to conserve energy for National Sweater Day. The best Granny auditions will be posted on WWF’s Facebook page, and invited to join the team for National Sweater Day on Feb 7th, presented by Loblaw Companies Limited.

 

The recruitment campaign, created by john st. and produced by Vapor Music, also includes a radio ad, plus downloadable posters and holiday cards - to help fans recruit their own Grannies - on WWF-Canada’s Facebook page.

 

“It’s a unique way to get people involved in the cause,” says Stephen Jurisic, co-Creative Director at john st. “We want all Canadians wearing sweaters and conserving energy. So why not get their Grandmothers to help?” 

 

Once WWF has all their Grannies in place, they’ll launch the new and improved Granny Call Centre 80.0 – with more Grannies and more calls than ever. You can sign up to get a call, text or email from a real live Granny of your choice, reminding you to wear a sweater and lower your heat to act against climate change, for WWF National Sweater Day on Feb 7th.
