GPY&R Melbourne beat off fierce competition at this year’s W3 Awards, walking away with seven trophies including ‘Best in Show’ and six Gold Awards – making them the most awarded agency in the world at this years show.
The W3 Awards honours Digital creative excellence worldwide, and recognizes the work behind award winning sites, marketing programs, and video content created for the web. This year's awards featured entrants from across the USA, Europe and Asia-Pacific, with GPY&R pitted against industry powerhouses such as Big Spaceship and RED Interactive Agency.
The judging panel is also unique in the fact it includes members from media, interactive, advertising, and marketing firms, hailing from organisations as diverse as MTV to Wired Magazine.
Mobile Medic, the first medically diagnosable advertising created with VML for Defence Force Recruiting, was hugely successful and was awarded ‘Best In Show’ for its Mobile Application (Education) along with Gold Awards in Mobile Application (Innovative/Experimental) and Augmented Reality (Branding).
Impossible Airfield, an online documentary series created for Defence Force Recruiting, took out Gold Awards across three categories for Branded Content (Business to Consumer, Promotional/Branding and Not-for-Profit).
