Goodoil have grown their international roster with the addition of Englishman Andy McLeod and American Matt Aselton. They join Goodoil for exclusive representation in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Before joining Rattling Stick as a director Andy (left in picture) was Executive Creative Director and founding partner of Fallon, one of London’s most highly respected advertising agencies. He has numerous creative awards including the coveted D&AD black pencil, five D&AD silvers, five British Television golds, three Cannes gold lions, three One Show golds, and the Creative Circle President’s Award. In his first year of directing, Andy shot award winning commercials for Skoda, Volkswagen and Barnardos amongst others and was subsequently nominated for best new director at the 2007 British Television Craft Awards and in 2010, reached number 5 in Campaign’s Top 10 Director’s list.
Since then he has continued to develop his career as an award winning commercials director with an emphasis on high levels of creativity shooting ads for brands such as Sony, Heinz, VW, Kwik Fit, Budweiser, COI and Walls. We think his latest ‘Hank Marvin’ spot for Mattesons is absolute genius.
For Matt Aselton, his clever comedic timing and great eye has earned him international acclaim as well as our attention. Matt has worked with clients such as ESPN, Coca Cola, Delta Airlines, Old Spice, Starburst, Toyota and Volkswagen. His mantle piece is adorned with metal statues, a Cannes Gold Lion, a couple of Silver D&AD pencils, and a handful of winged Clio awards. Matt co-wrote and directed his first feature film ‘Gigantic’ in 2008. It debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival and took out top honors for Best Narrative Feature at the AFI Dallas International Film Festival in 2009.
