The Awards Season has kicked into gear, as The Golden Award of Montreux announces its winners. As has been tradition since 1989, the show marks the spring time catalyst for the annual run of ad industry awards. For the winners, points are up for grabs in national and international ranking lists.
This year ,55 Gold Medals were given across the following categories: Media, Digital, Film, Direct, Integrated, Outdoor, Print, Event, Spatial, and Corporate Film.
The most rewarded agencies, with six gold medals each, were BBDO New York, BETC Paris and Heimat Berling. BBDO New York won with golden work for Snickers, AT&T, Lowe’s, Sandy Hook and Lowe’s. BETC were awarded for their creations for Evian, Canal+, Air France, Addict Aide, Leroy Merlin. And Heimat received awards for work for Hornbach, FDP and Otto.
As you may know, the Golden Award there is only Gold, no Silver or Bronze.
This year, the Golden Award of Montreux received more than 3,400 entries from 38 countries. The Golden Award jury 2017 consisted of 30 personalities from 16 countries among them CEOs of
advertising agencies, Creative Directors, Global Marketing and Communication Managers of international
clients, and Media Designers.

The Golden Award of Montreux is open to all advertising agencies, advertisers, studios, and production companies worldwide.
The festival is takes place at the picturesque Lake Geneva. Montreux Festival is said to be a precursor to Cannes Lions and every year many Cannes aspirants test their work at Montreux. Montreux winners often go on to win at Cannes. The Golden Award is an independent forum committed to improving the standard of creative excellence.
