Creative agency, GLOW, announces the hire of Ellie Lloyd as executive creative director overseeing the agency’s roster of brand and entertainment clients. She reports directly to GLOW’s founding team and leads the agency’s creative department.

Prior to joining GLOW, Ellie served as global creative manager at Netflix working on originals projects including documentaries, unscripted, comedy and kids and family content. She created campaigns and helped build audiences for a variety of films and series, lifting social followings across the board. Lloyd’s creative efforts spanned the expansive Netflix library and included work for The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Don’t F**k With Cats, The Goop Lab, The Circle, Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese, and Tall Girl.

Her agency experience includes creative roles at Cashmere, 72andSunny, Olson, Exposure, 3AM, and Eclipse. During her time at Cashmere, Ellie was recognised for growing the agency’s DE&I program and integrating it across the agency’s clients. While at L.A.’s Eclipse, Lloyd pioneered social-first campaigns for iconic film franchises, Star Wars and Marvel. There she led the team that brought Star Wars’ first female Jedi to audiences with the creation of a new social media holiday (Rey Day) that empowered young female fans and became a trending topic taking home a Webby for the standout work. She also grew the FX business, leading the Clio-awarded broadcast and social campaign work for breakout Marvel series, Legion - and ultimately gained multiple other titles as a result of this success.

“Ellie’s experience building impactful creative for the most well-known entertainment brands in the industry makes her an unstoppable force and an excellent addition to the team,” said Howie Kleinberg, president, GLOW.

Ellie’s marketing entertainment creds includes work for Netflix, Disney, Marvel, 20th Century Fox, FX, DC, HBO, Showtime, Universal, Paramount, Lionsgate, Warner Brothers and Warner Music Group as well as brands like Coca Cola, Google and Target, to name a few.

“I'm passionate about what we do in this industry because we have the opportunity to influence culture,” said Ellie. “I always push my teams to make work that touches on the humanity that connects us all and that makes audiences feel really something and hopefully see themselves reflected in the work.”

Ellie will co-chair GLOW’s DE&I committee with CFO, Nicole Florit with plans to expand the agency’s efforts.

“Ellie is a phenomenal creative, business minded, and an even better leader,” said Ted Kacandes, GLOW co-founder. “She’s respected by her peers as well as her clients, and possesses the ability to shape high-level concepts that translate across all mediums.”

Ellie begins in her post immediately.
