Amaris brings an interdisciplinary mindset to head up the agency’s strategy team

Giant Spoon, the award-winning, integrated creative agency based in Los Angeles and New York, has announced its first Chief Strategy Officer, Amaris Singer, as well as the promotion of Janina Volpe to VP, Group Strategy Director and Erin Vogler to Group Strategy Director. In her new role, Singer will lead the strategy unit at the agency, which blends teams across creative, media, and strategy to create transformative work for ambitious brands. 

Amaris’ arrival builds upon Giant Spoon’s growing leadership team, which recently added Noel Cottrell as partner and creative chair, and reinforces the agency's focus on building bigger creative platforms for brands across a broader range of clients. In its nearly 10 year history, Giant Spoon has led strategy work for a variety of clients including NBC Entertainment, Petco, Paramount+, USA Today, Cole Haan, James Beard Foundation, American Express, Ophelia, YETI and Away.  

With prior experience in brand, business, and innovation strategy, Singer most recently led strategy for Mother and its branding and design arm, Mother Design. Singer has taken an interdisciplinary approach to her career which includes business and creative roles at Disney, Wolff Olins, Fahrenheit and McKinsey. She is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Yale University, with a proven track record in creative and brand strategy, market research, consumer insights, innovation and design thinking. Singer also co-founded a non-profit, uniting MBA students and entrepreneurs to revitalize the US economy and enrich business education through immersion.
