Beckie Thornton has been promoted to Transfer Bay Manager

GCRS Boosts Transfer Department with Promotion
After four years with Grand Central Recording Studios, Beckie Thornton has been promoted to Transfer Bay Manager.

Beckie graduated from the University of Kent with a 2.1 in Music Technology. She joined GCRS as a runner in 2015 and was promoted to Transfer engineer within twelve months. During the last three years, Beckie has learnt her craft and skills in the GC Transfer Bay. With this promotion, she has been recognised for her talent, focus and technical know-how.

Beckie says: “Becoming Transfer Bay Manager is a really exciting opportunity for me, it’s going to be a fantastic challenge and I’m looking forward to leading a team who I have always loved working with.”

Carole Humphrey, MD GCRS says: “ Beckie is a very popular member of the GC team. Promoting a woman to this very important post gives me great pride and pleasure. I have no doubt that she will put her own stamp on the role and make a great success of this opportunity.”

With a background in music technology, Becky also sings and plays the flute for ska punk band ‘Just Say Nay’ who are busy playing live and recording an album this summer.
