Today, Gatorade is launching three new spots as part of its ongoing, multi-year Fuel Tomorrow initiative to help ensure everyone has equal opportunities to play sports and realise their potential.
There are barriers that prevent many kids from getting into, or staying in, the game – but one of the most prevalent is the lack of representation. Gatorade is helping address this by amplifying diverse role models in sports, including Hansel Enmanuel, Suni Lee and Serena Williams. The spots celebrate the inner drive it took for these athletes to overcome the barriers in their sport to achieve greatness.
The campaign was created by TBWA/Chiat/Day and will run on Television, Premium Online Video and Digital beginning June 13th and supported by an integrated marketing campaign. The Hansel Enmanuel spot, ‘Want From Within with Hansel Enmanuel,’ will run tonight during the NBA Finals.
“The Gatorade family believes everyone should be able to reap the benefits of sport. Our ambition is to inspire and empower positive change for all athletes, we have a responsibility to use our platform to amplify diverse voices,” said Kalen Thornton, Gatorade chief marketing officer. “Through the continuation of our Fuel Tomorrow movement, we’re proud to celebrate role models like Serena Williams, Suni Lee and Hansel Enmanuel, who are paving the way for future generations to do more than follow in their footsteps, but realise their own potential inside.”
