In Sweden everyone eats bananas after working out, so in a bid to persuade gym bunnies to switch to Gainomax protein drinks Saatchi & Saatchi in Stockholm have been flexing their creative muscles.
In 2006, the agency launched its Bananas Are For Monkeys campaign, and has since built many campaigns around the theme, using monkeys every time. This time, the agency has gone for a less literal interpretation of the monkey idea with a campaign that charts the trials and tribulations of a hapless American Football team. Enthusiastic but incompetent, the team’s banana obsession is played for laughs in a series of spots which aim to show the superiority of Gainomax as a post-workout snack.
