In light of the Easter break, this week's Friday tunes are brought to you a day early to be enjoyed during the entirety of the long weekend. Bazinga!
It's been another amazing year of work for the UK Music & Sound Awards, and the International competition is due to close next week - and we have seen equally strong work coming in from all around the world.
We thought we'd share the sync finalists from the UK Awards with you and make this LBB Friday Playlist rather... eclectic.
Never before (possibly) will you have heard London Grammar, Cerebral Ballzy and Bronski Beat in the same playlist. Now you can.
You can listen in the office unabashed to ‘We Built This City’ by Starship (we know you secretly love it), and tell colleagues there is a business reason for doing so...
And you can close your eyes and relax to Enya's ‘Only Time’ as you recall the image of a zen Van Damme stretching himself to the excruciating limit across two moving trucks.
All of these tracks made the productions they featured in impactful, funny or poignant - they elevated the visuals and the content to stand out from the crowd.
That's what we as an awards programme recognise across the spectrum of music and sound in the media. In the case of sync we are celebrating the achievement of the music supervisor, label, publisher, director, editor and creative team that made it happen and saw the potential for excellence.
So - play it loud, play it proud - and celebrate with us. Happy Friday.
