Total entertainment company, Free Turn, has announced the launch of Free Turn Audio, a specialist immersive audio company to work alongside its film, television and brand funded entertainment offering.
The company will focus on premium scripted and factual audio with potential to extend storylines across media including TV, film, experiences and gaming. Projects will be financed by diverse commercial models including commissioned, brand-funded and advertising-funded.
Free Turn Audio launch sees the first in a series of partnerships: a global agreement with Teleporter Group’s Antenna International - leading provider of audio guides and multimedia production services created for world-famous cultural sites, museums and attractions. The agreement is to develop, produce and distribute fresh and immersive stories curated from Antenna’s 40+ year audio archive, in partnership with world-leading global cultural institutions such as NASA Space Centres, Tate Modern, MOMA and The Vatican.
Additional projects in production include an original sci-fi scripted series with a platinum-selling rock musician, and, a returnable music and culture documentary audio series in partnership with a global publishing company.
Free Turn CEO Jon Hamm comments: “Audio has quickly become a critical component of our total entertainment offering. While the new company will operate as a standalone business, we will also be exploiting the symmetries with our TV, Film and Branded division so that this capability is seamlessly integrated into our development and production process.”
