DDB Sydney has announced that Fran Clayton will join the agency as chief strategy officer.
The move sees Fran return to DDB Sydney after departing in 2018 to join McCann Australia.
Fran first joined DDB Group in 2013 as planning partner from Publicis Mojo New Zealand. In 2016 Clayton was promoted from head of planning to chief strategy officer. During her five years at DDB Sydney, Fran spearheaded the strategy for multi-award-winning McDonald’s and was the lead strategist on the successful Volkswagen Commercial vehicles pitch and subsequent ‘Naked Ute’ campaign for Amarok.
Says Andrew Little, CEO, DDB Australia: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Fran back to DDB. She is a world-class thinker and we couldn’t be happier she is returning to lead our strategy offering. With Priya, Tara and Fran leading the Sydney office, I have no doubt the agency will continue to be an unstoppable force.”
Says Fran: “My five years at DDB Sydney were amazing for many reasons but most importantly, the culture and the people make it an outstanding place to work and create. I couldn’t be happier to return home to the agency and get another opportunity to work on big challenges for iconic brands.”
