Framestore has announced that two of the company’s Immersive Entertainment projects - Game of Thrones' ‘Fight For The Living: Beyond The Wall Virtual Reality Experience’ and Free Solo 360 - have been honored as part of the 71st Annual Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
‘Fight For The Living: Beyond The Wall Virtual Reality Experience,’ which was nominated under the category ‘Outstanding Creative Achievement In Interactive Media Within A Scripted Program,’ is one of several collaborations between Framestore and HBO for the show. This nomination is one of a record-breaking 32 Emmy nominations earned by Game of Thrones this year.
Free Solo 360, nominated for ‘Outstanding Creative Achievement In Interactive Media Within An Unscripted Program,’ was created in partnership with directors Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, and National Geographic. The 360-degree film was created alongside the Oscar winning feature length documentary Free Solo, also directed by Jimmy and Elizabeth, and the nomination is one of seven for the feature film.
The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on September 22, and the Creative Arts Awards on September 14-15, both in Los Angeles.
