Framestore is the proud recipient of 12 Visual Effects Society (VES) Award nominations for work across six distinctive film and episodic titles.
The titles run the gamut of Framestore’s boundary-pushing skillset, from photoreal sci-fi to stylised storybook fantasy and through to horror, action and period drama.
Three titles featuring the creative studio’s work - The Midnight Sky, Jingle Jangle and Project Power - are in the running for the coveted ‘Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal Feature’ award, while Netflix sci-fi actioner Project Power is joint leader in terms of overall feature film nominations.
Framestore CEO Sir William Sargent, said: “Framestore’s VES nominations showcase a striking and varied body of work, from photoreal creatures and distinctive character animation through to world building that’s equally convincing whether set in the far reaches of space, 1950s America or 1980s Britain. The quality of the work shows how we’re continuing to blur the boundaries between film and episodic, and is all the more impressive considering so much of it was delivered while working from home."
