Every holiday season, jaded adults and advertising execs alike look for ways to re-capture the joys and excitement of childhood. Luckily, there are still a few experiences that take you right back to being a kid again – like dropping 75 cents into a vending machine and watching your favorite snack fall 36 inches down into the bin for pickup.
Enter, Curiosity’s holiday themed Wonderbox: a delightfully branded vending machine that dispenses carefully curated mystery gifts, all wrapped up in little paper bundles and marked with handwritten 'curiosities.'
To bring the Wonderbox experience to those outside Curiosity’s Cincinnati office, the agency hosted a telethon-like event on Instagram Live @CuriosityCincy ripe with cheeky talent show acts, well-manicured disembodied hands, and a decorated set to house it all with a "hella-artsy-meets-Price is Right" vibe. Throughout the live stream, the agency invited viewers to virtually step up to the vending machine for their 60 seconds of childlike joy as they instruct a working hand on set to press their slot number of choice and watch as their holiday bundle makes its way down to the collection bin.
