Oddschecker, the betting odds comparison site owned by BSkyB Group, has appointed Fold7 to its advertising account following a pitch.
Fold7 beat the incumbent along with two undisclosed agencies to win the business in a pitch process run by Andy Lulham, the Head of Marketing at Oddschecker.
Fold7 has been briefed to develop a distinctive TV-led campaign that will drive brand awareness and show consumers that Oddschecker is on the bettor’s side. Oddschecker’s proposition allows punters to compare prices, offers and promotions from all the leading bookmakers, and place bets with them directly from one App.
The campaign will launch in September on TV, digital and on video-on-demand, as well as on Oddchecker’s own social and customer marketing channels.
Fold7 Managing Partner Harry Sheward, said: “In what is a very heavily advertised sector, Oddschecker offers a really simple and straightforward comparison solution. We are delighted to have been appointed to bring this to the attention of a wider audience and get punters the best odds on a whole range of sports.”
Andy Lulham added: “I genuinely believe that there is no reason why every punter would not use Oddschecker when they bet. But it’s no secret that our awareness levels are low, and we need to start changing that. Fold7 have already demonstrated that they are the right agency to help us do that.”
Oddschecker’s last major advertising campaign centered round a TV ad released in January this year to promote its new mobile App. It featured the characters Inspector Odds and his dog Checker, who hunt down the best odds for punters on-the-go.
