The Jay Chiat Awards, international awards that recognize brilliant strategic thinking in the communications industry, have announced their 2012 winners. Brazil’s leading beer brand Skol has won Bronze in the Idea for New Product/Content category, with the case study “Skol Roundy”, the first Easter egg made with chocolate and beer.
Launched in March 2012 the project was created by F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, and developed in partnership with Folie chocolate atelier. At the time kits were distributed as a gift to the most enthusiastic fans of the brand. The box contained six “Skol Roundy” truffles made with chocolate and Skol, and it was an absolute success. Meio & Mensagem, one of the most influential advertising publications in Brazil, selected it as one of the ten most innovative ideas of the first semester of 2012.
Now Skol Roundy is not only the most famous Easter egg in Brazil, but also the world’s most strategic one.
