FleishmanHillard UK strengthens senior team to focus efforts on client needs around employee audiences

FleishmanHillard UK has hired Malek El Refaie to lead and grow its burgeoning talent and transformation offering. He joins the agency with almost 20-years of experience advising organisations globally on their people, change and communications needs.

Malek will report to Jim Donaldson, FleishmanHillard CEO UK and Middle East, and act as a special advisor to integrate the Talent & Transformation offer across the UK agency.  He brings an international background and consulting mindset to the business, having worked for the global HR consultancy Mercer for 11 years in Canada, the Middle East, and Australia, and Omnicom’s change consultancy, Daggerwing Group, for six years in the US and UK.

FleishmanHillard UK is redoubling its focus in the talent and transformation space after a significant increase in client demand over the tumultuous past few years. FleishmanHillard UK CEO Jim Donaldson commented: “There has never been more pressure on clients and leadership teams to meet the expectations of internal audiences. Talent is demanding a new social contract, a refreshed value proposition, new and flexible ways of working and an orientation towards purpose, social and environmental good. Navigating this is a challenge for any organisation and we are thrilled to have Malek onboard to lead our growing team in this key area.”

Malek El Refaie commented: "I'm excited to have joined FleishmanHillard UK to build on the great progress to date in this area. The opportunity ahead for our clients and our agency is immense in what is one of the most challenging times in memory. Aligning the evolving needs of talent with the unrelenting pace of business transformation necessary to survive and win in today's environment will be key to any organisation’s future. Our team is focused on helping clients understand and capitalise on this employer-employee dynamic, building communications campaigns that help shape employee perceptions, beliefs and behaviours to drive long-term success."
