Firewood Marketing Hires Ron Davis as Senior Vice President of Technology

San Francisco-based Firewood Marketing announced the hiring of Ron Davis as senior vice president of technology. The role is the newest on the agency’s senior leadership team.

An accomplished developer with world-class enterprise expertise, Davis will lead the growth of Firewood’s in-house technology specialisation, broadening its capacity for digital marketing solutions.

In this role, Davis will oversee the agency’s growing development team and further bring the capabilities of a full-scale development practice in-house. Integrating and expanding its technology offerings will allow Firewood to forge even closer, more comprehensive partnerships with clients.

“Firewood’s full-service approach means we’re providing not only cutting-edge digital strategy, but also steering technology recommendations and implementation throughout deployment, analytics, maintenance, and the iterations they require,” Davis said. “This continuity builds efficiency, which helps us earn trust with clients.”

Davis most recently served as senior vice president of technology at Guidance Solutions, where he and his team developed e-commerce applications for clients such as Foot Locker and Burlington. Before that, he served as vice president of technology at Razorfish, part of Publicis.Sapient, and has also held senior leadership roles at both iCrossing and Edelman Digital, serving clients including Adobe, eBay, Microsoft, Shell, Starbucks, and others.

Davis said he considers his pro-bono technology efforts on behalf of the Bezos Family Foundation to be among his most rewarding work to date.
