FireFlies 2016 Stage 2: A Great Day's Work For @Bloodwise !

Day Two:    La Clusaz to Val D'Isere

Distance:   121km

Ascent:      4,000m

Today the FireFlies 2016 Sweet 16 Tour wound its way up through the beautiful alpine towns of Flumet and Beaufort, with a steep and twisting descent to Borg Saint Maurice, before navigating the tunnels alongside the scenic Barrage de Tigne on final the climb to Val d'Isere.

The rain continued early morning for Stage 2, but much to everyone's relief it brightened up later for the awesome views from Col des Saisies and beyond the picturesque town of Beaufort to Cormet de Roseland (1,967m).  

The FireFlies Sweet 16th Tour rested at the staggeringly beautiful lake Barrage de Roseland at the top, for a picnic lunch amid the snow.

Day Two covered 121km and a staggering 4,000m climb. 

The Tour averaged seven and a half hours in the saddle and every jockey completed the gruelling Stage #massiveachievement and 

a great day's work for @bloodwise.
