In the Company of Huskies has created a new campaign for Fighting Blindness to highlight the vital role of research in the fight against sight loss.
Fighting Blindness is an Irish-based charity whose vision is to cure blindness and support people with sight loss. This new campaign was developed to communicate that the investment in vision research is working and saving sight.
To encourage the public to continue to support the charity’s efforts, ‘Make the impossible possible’ campaign illustrates a series of playful images that combine scientific icons with scenes showing the wonderful benefits that can come from sight saving treatment.
Stargazing, visiting an art gallery, or looking at nature, the simple activities that most of us take for granted can be made possible through funding scientific research.
Laura Hally, communications manager at Fighting Blindness, said; “It’s a really exciting time for vision research. Gene therapies – such as Luxturna – have the potential to save the sight of children and adults. The investment in research on a global level has made gene therapy possible. Research is working and it is saving sight loss. As we await the decision on the approval of Luxturna in Ireland, we thought it was the perfect time to let the Irish public know that their investment is working and we need their support to continue our work. In the Company of Huskies captured the sentiment perfectly, we love the new campaign and we’re so grateful to the team and JCDecaux Ireland for their support.”
