Festive Furry Friend Is the Centre of Attention in Three UK’s Christmas Spot

Today, Three UK launches its new creative campaign in the lead up to the festive season. The advert is the latest Three creative that uses its new Life Needs a Big Network platform, focusing on real life examples to articulate why Three is perfectly placed to help customers with the big and small moments in life.

Developed with Wonderhood Studios, the advert features a rescue dog that is the centre of attention in its owners group chat after being photographed in various Christmas-themed outfits, from a turkey to an alpine skier.

The creative leans into Brits’ love for their pets, with this group of animal lovers expanding by three million since lockdowns began. Making pets front and centre of social feeds is an increasingly fun part of pet ownership with 65% of people admitting that they take more photos of their pet than their significant other, a third send pictures of their pet to family and friends and 81% of dog owners say they have at least one outfit for their dog – making them look even cuter in pictures.

The work highlights the everyday moments of mobile connection that can be enjoyed for 6 months half price thanks to Three. During a busy trading period, new customers will receive a £100 gift card as well as money off their new handset.

Wonderhood creatives James Rafter and Myles Vincent added: “With the 99% network coverage you can do amazing things like change the world or talk to anyone with a tap of a screen. You’re even able to capture “Perfection”… even if your version of ‘perfection’ happens to be dressing your dog in silly outfits to spam a group chat.”

Three’s Life Needs a Big Network platform was launched in early July showcasing how far Three UK has evolved since its market challenger days. The latest festive advert is being brought to life through an integrated approach with executions across TV, VOD, Press, PR and social, and in-store.
