Feel the Freedom in Robot-Driven Vertical Dance Film for eloan

Blur Films joins CS Agency to produce ‘Roomba’, a vertical spot for online loan provider eloan’s US campaign on Facebook.

With Mike Usandivaras directing and Christos Voudouris as director of photography, this spot encourages us to free ourselves from our credit card debt through stunning, elegant choreography on two ‘roomba’ vacuum cleaners. The dancer is Jordi Castillo, an awarded roller-skater who is Spain's roller-skating champion, third in Europe, and fifth in the world.

This striking film mixes the seriousness of a bank’s message with the play on words of the song and the dancing, as Jordi dances on two ‘Roomba’ vacuum cleaners as if they were roller-skates while the voice-over narrates: “I’m cleaning my debt”.

However, one of the most remarkable aspects of this film is the outstanding photography and lighting led by Christos Voudouris, who frequently works with Blur next to Mike Usandivaras. Silvia Ballesteros was in charge of the art direction.

With this vertical film, Mike underlines his potential of adaptation to a wide-range of limited formats that, merged with a great cast, lighting, photography, location, and acting, evolves into something fascinating.
