FCB Malaysia, the locally owned affiliate of FCB Worldwide has kicked off the new year with a trio of senior creative promotions. Creative group heads Tjer Wang and Mandy Chock have been promoted to creative director and creative strategist respectively whilst senior art director James Voon has been elevated to the role of creative group head.
“All three fully deserve their promotions…and the untold responsibilities that come with them!” said Ong Shi Ping, co-owner and chief creative officer of FCB Malaysia “James has been with us since 2015 and his boundless energy has propelled him thru the ranks to become a valued part of our leadership team. Mandy’s new role plays to her talent of balancing creativity and logic, a massively important component to how we create actionable and holistic, opportunity centric communications. Tjer’s potential was clear when we first met him, his instinct and ability to ‘get it’ is a perfect match for how we roll as dynamic, fast moving creative shop.”
FCB Malaysia has also made a number of new hires, especially within it senior ranks with Sharon Rodrigues (head of account management), Diana Chua (account director), Jonathan Chan (creative group head), Jamie Hendricks (senior art director), Nathan Yong (senior copywriter), Wira Chon (senior producer) and Janine Yee (finance manager) joining the agency last year.

Commenting on the influx of fresh talent, fellow co-owner and chief executive officer Shaun Tay, had this to say: “2019 was a massive year for us with record YOY growth, 40+ local and regional awards and our best new year in new business with 20 wins including blue chip clients like Darlie, Sharp, Marigold and Education Malaysia.
