Pirkis has been deputy head of strategy since 2020

FCB Inferno has promoted Laura Pirkis to head of strategy, reporting to chief strategy officer, Ben Jaffé.

Pirkis’s new role will see her continuing to lead strategy for FCB Inferno’s government accounts while also overseeing a number of commercial clients. She will also continue to help shape and nurture the future of FCB London’s Strategy offering alongside Jaffé.

Pirkis has been deputy head of strategy since 2020, working as strategic lead on FCB’s government portfolio, Sport England (This Girl Can) and Kimberly Clark.

Notable highlights during this period are winning and retaining the Home Office account, winning both the National Highways and the Cabinet Office accounts in the past year, and campaigns tackling violence against women and girls.

Pirkis joined FCB Inferno as a strategist in 2014, working her way up to the role of strategy director by 2018 – not long after she began studying for her MSc in Behavioural Sciences from LSE, graduating in 2020.

Ben Jaffé, CSO at FCB Inferno, said: ”Laura is a brilliant practitioner and an inspirational mentor to the whole team. We're super excited about this promotion. There are great things to come, so watch this space”.

Laura Pirkis added: “I’m so happy to take on the role of Head of Strategy as the agency begins a hugely exciting new chapter. Working with such brilliant people every day is a real joy and I’m looking forward to upholding our strategic excellence, pooling expertise across our government and commercial clients, and supporting the team the way I’ve been supported throughout my time in the agency. I know the best is yet to come from FCB and I’m so glad to be a part of it.”

Before arriving at FCB Inferno, Pirkis worked in public affairs and in the Civil Service. She studied social and political sciences at the University of Cambridge.
