FCB Canada Names Eli Ferrara as VP, Creative Innovation

FCB Canada announced today that Eli Ferrara has been named to the newly created role of VP, creative innovation. In this position, Eli will report to FCB Canada’s chief creative officer, Nancy Crimi-Lamanna, and continue to help build FCB Canada’s reputation as the most innovative agency in Canada and five-time Digital Agency of the Year winner. 

Ferrara’s responsibilities will include creating a better understanding of the latest platforms and technologies and creating new formats and conventions to tackle client business needs. Ferrara will educate FCB employees and their clients on the emerging platforms like the metaverse and gaming and help direct campaigns to capture first-party data with FCB offices around the network. He was most recently Director, Product, Partnerships, and Emerging Technologies at FCB/SIX.

It’s at the heart of everything we do and fundamental to fully understanding and intercepting the consumer journey in the most effective way,” said Crimi-Lamanna. “Eli is an integral member of the creative department who brings the added ability to champion innovation. He combines functional and operational knowledge with thorough analysis of industry, technology, and customer trends and competitive analysis. He’s already been behind several of our highly awarded and internationally recognized campaigns.”

During his tenure at FCB, Eli has been behind several highly awarded campaigns. Ferrara led the concepting and custom-build on the algorithm that drives LifeStyles’ Publicly Traded platform – the first ever STI Index, which uses live STI search data to drive inverse pricing for LifeStyles condoms. The globally awarded campaign won the Grand Prix in Creative eCommerce at Spikes Asia, multiple Cannes Lions, and ranked as one of the top 25 Most Contagious Campaigns of the year. 

Ferrara has also played a vital role in a number of other internationally recognized campaigns, including the Chicago Public Library and Walmart’s Bedtime Stories – an innovative reading program that uses AR technology to connect children with incarcerated parents. At last week’s One Show, Bedtime Stories was recognized with eight pencils — 3x Gold, 2x Silver, and 3x Bronze. Eli has also worked with FCB Brazil to develop SweetBlock – a campaign that dynamically generated unique cryptographic art using NFTs to fight political censorship.
