FCB Brasil is now accepting applications for its internship program, FCB Brains, which was created in 2019 with the goal of increasing plurality and diversity in opportunities for career growth within the agency, as well as attracting students who are just entering the workforce. In the first edition of the program, 90% of the candidates were hired. This year, FCB has open positions in Brands & Business (account services), Creative, Business Intelligence, Media, Planning, Human Resources, RTVC, and Creative Technology.

"We were very satisfied with the results of the first edition of FCB Brains. We attracted and retained young talents who brought in the freshness and energy we were looking for. We were able to select very diverse profiles, with an eye on multiplicity, exactly as we believe the work environment needs to be. Now, based on that success, we’re going for an encore,” says Sandra Denes, FCB Brasil HR VP.

Recruiting will be done in partnership with HR consulting firm MatchBox, and the initial contact will take place via a chatbot. Then we will have stages with gamification (a technique that uses games in different situations and offers various stimuli to reach specific goals), and the candidates will have to record a video in support of their applications. In order to preserve the diversity in the hiring process, in the last stage managers will make their final choices without having access to all of the information. They will only be able to see the results of the previous stages, and all other information will be hidden, so as to neutralise any biased evaluation.

FCB also has a full on-boarding program to welcome the new talent and ensure everyone understands how the agency’s different departments operate. “AT FCB, we like to identify ourselves as bands of people. That’s because, in addition to seeking a holistic vision for the group, we want to give everyone a voice, and opportunities. After all, in order to be inclusive, we must go far beyond the hiring process,” complements Sandra.

BI assistant and former FCB Brains intern, Juliana Caetano, recounts how on-boarding takes place. “During the internship, we had both theory and praxis: big classes about the different departments, and what technical knowledge we need to use specific tools and work with analytics, in addition to mentoring with agency experts and everyday work functions.” To Bruna Zeferino, also a former intern and currently Media Assistant, “FCB recognises the value of interns; we do real work and have real responsibilities. That makes you dive head first into the advertising industry, and learn as much as possible,” she says.

The program welcomes applications from students in the following courses: business, audiovisual arts, databases, big data and analytics, communications and marketing, computer sciences, social sciences, systems development, design, computer engineering, statistics, physics, human resources management, mathematics, social and digital media, publicity and advertising, radio and TV, and information technology.
