"Start something new - Start something Priceless" is the title for the new 360° campaign for Mastercard by McCann Worldgroup Germany. It was successfully launched in October 2018 on TV, social media and online. Mastercard offers great flexibility through mobile payment. The new TV-spot shows how “priceless moments” with Mastercard make a big difference.
In the middle of the night, a father is woken up by his crying son. Instead of feeding or embracing to make him sleep again, he tries something new: he grabs his car keys, his mobile phone and takes him for a car ride. So his wife can continue sleeping.
And the plan works out. As the little boy slowly dozes off, the father decides to have a coffee. But then the shock at the drive-thru: he completely forgot his wallet at home! But Mastercard offers a solution: with his smartphone the father can easily pay cashless. He holds the cell phone to the POS terminal, “beep” and done. The son sleeps and the father can enjoy his coffee: a Priceless moment!
As the boy sleeps, dad continues his shopping tour. He also pays for a glass of sour gherkins - again with his smartphone. At home the pregnant mom is already waiting: "Start something new - Start something Priceless."
The TVC is part of a campaign to increase customer confidence in MasterCard’s mobile payment options and to show the benefits of cashless payment with Mastercard. Like the father in the spot, people should try for themselves and see how easy and secure mobile payment is with Mastercard. The campaign aims to capture the subject of mobile payment for Mastercard and raises awareness for the Debit Mastercard Germany. It is part of McCann Worldgroup’s global "Start something Priceless” communication platform.
