Since being placed in lockdown, Familia director James Lovick has been creating stop-frame films from his home studio in London - animating typography and messaging using food and ingredients - and posting them to his Instagram account (@jameslovick).
“It’s a slow process that requires a lot of patience," he says, “but I’ve really enjoyed making them.” Working with an amazing charity like Frontline Foods in their cause to feed United States frontline workers has been rewarding. Making these short animations is verification that we can do our part even from the confinement of our own homes, and a reminder that we are all still connected despite having to keep our distance.
EP Toby Walsham adds: “When lockdown started, we shifted our focus to producing work for good. FAMILIA hopes to continue to support charities like Frontline Foods and the workers they are helping through this tough time and beyond, to all of whom we send our unending thanks.”
