Factory to Present a Short Film Showcase at The Soho Hotel

Factory has announced that they will be hosting their 6th Short Film Showcase on Thursday 13th October at The Soho Hotel. An evening devoted to the craft of sound within short film, Factory will share some of the exciting projects they have worked on over the past 12 months, with some of the industries most compelling established and up and coming directors.

The film's showing are...

Bike Life, directed by Dan Emmerson, a film which focuses on a crew of passionate, mischievous motor athletes looking to break out of their dreary locale and into a global audience via social media.

You Are Awake, directed by Pedro Martin-Calero, an eerie tale of a mysterious phenomenon in which a village community start to faint and fall asleep without any reason.

Upstairs, directed by Owynne Dawkins, is a binaural sound short that explores storytelling through the use of a dual audio and visual narrative.

Big Dog, directed by Jamie & Jamie, takes a stripped-back approach to a well trodden horror trope, which took the prize for best cinematography at the BFI/Film London in 2015.

Born A Believer, from director Darius Norowzian, shows the insight of a charity in South London which rehabilitates ex-offenders and disaffected youths.

There are two powerful trailers on show, in the shape of Daniel Mulloy's "Home", and Rhys Chapman's "WONDERKID".

The night also see's two music promos - Khruangbin's "Two Fish and an Elephant" gets an epic short film directed by Scott Dungate, and director George Belfield's Kevin Spacey lead performance for Tom Odell's "Here I Am".

Entry is on a first come first served basis, so don't forget to RSVP at
