Santos’s promotion is the latest announcement as Proximity strengthens its global management team
Proximity Worldwide announced today that Eva Santos has been promoted to the newly created position of Global Chief Creative Officer of the Proximity network.  Santos will assume this role with immediate effect, and will retain responsibility as Chief Creative Officer of Proximity Spain. As CCO of Proximity Worldwide, Santos will be tasked with strengthening the creative direction and reputation of the network, reporting to Doug Worple, CEO, Proximity Worldwide. 

“As Proximity focuses our offering, it’s crucial we have a creative leader unifying our approach and holding our network to the highest creative standard,” said Worple. “Eva is a brilliant creative and a visionary leader with a deep understanding of data-driven creativity. Those abilities, coupled with Eva’s experience and perspective will undoubtedly make us an even better network.”  

Santos joined Proximity Spain as copywriter in 2002. After rising through the ranks at Proximity Barcelona, she became Chief Creative Officer of Proximity Spain three years ago, with responsibility for their Madrid and Barcelona offices. In that time, Santos transformed the agency’s offering to a more specialized approach, with data-driven creativity at its core. She led creative for some of Spain’s most iconic and award-winning campaigns, including Audi Spain’s “The Doll Who Chose to Drive,” and Bijoux Indiscrets’ “Orgasm Sound Library.” She has been recognized by some of the leading industry publications, having been named one of Adweek’s Creative 100, Ad Age’s Women to Watch in Europe, and the EFI Club’s “Best Marketing and Advertising Professional Under 41.” 

“The word ‘Proximity’ reinforces our dedication to bringing people and brands closer together using data-driven creativity,” said Santos. “In this new global role, I look forward to working with our offices around the world to develop a consistent creative output that delivers against our promise of ‘making people more valuable to brands.’”

Santos’s promotion is the latest announcement as Proximity strengthens its global management team, following the appointments of Doug Worple to CEO and Mike Dodds to President last month. Santos will be based in Barcelona.
