Even in the face of the current coronavirus pandemic the sustainability industry has shown great creativity and innovative spirit and the aim of the European Green Award is to highlight those that are contributing to Europe's transition to a modern, resource-efficient, fair and competitive economy of the future.
The European Green Award [EGA] recognises the outstanding ecological achievements of companies and individuals across multiple business sectors.
The award is open to companies, agencies, service providers and non-commercial and governmental organizations from all sectors across Europe. Prizes are awarded in the following categories: Product; Product Design; Advertising; Marketing; Initiatives; Hotel; Event; Change Maker.
The EGA, which is organised by the European Institute of Applied Sciences [EIAS], is a not-for-profit event which recognizes and rewards the achievements by companies and individuals for their work in the area of sustainable development.
Any product, campaign or initiative implemented between January 1st, 2020 and December 31st, 2020 is eligible.
An international jury of experts, which includes Mark Chalmers, founder of Chalming.co, Dr Andrea Grimm, co-founder of EAIS, and Maximilian Scheubeck, Associate Sustainability Services at PriceWaterHouse, Philipp Steinberger, Head of Investors ClubVenture will judge the entries, allocating Nominee and Winner labels.
“This award is oriented to promote outstanding sustainability solutions and sustainability designers,” said Dr Grimm. “We want to make a contribution to the transformation of the economy, science, society - we want to make eco-heroes visible.”
The deadline for entries is February 10th, 2021, and the winners will be announced on April 27th, 2021.
