Esurance Pass It On Sweepstakes Gives Away Over $1 Million

In this year’s big game, Esurance is passing its savings on and giving away over $1 million in its Esurance Pass It On Sweepstakes. Beginning today, people can simply Retweet messages from the Esurance Twitter handle tagged #EsuranceSweepstakes for chances to win. And for the first time ever, Esurance will select multiple prize winners each quarter who could win money in real time during the big game.

There will be more surprises in store along the way, so people should keep a close eye on the Esurance Twitter channel as details are revealed.

“The Esurance Pass It On Sweepstakes allows us to engage with people before and throughout the game, while also sharing information about who we are in a fun, memorable way,” said Nancy Abraham, Vice President of Integrated Marketing Communications at Esurance. “We want people to become more aware of and familiar with Esurance, so with every Retweet they’ll learn something different.”

A new television commercial airing just before kickoff will remind fans to “pass it on” for chances to win throughout the big game. The spot, with John Krasinski’s voiceover, features people in everyday situations dropping everything they’re doing to catch a football made of money and pass it on. The message emphasizes that Esurance saves money, so they can pass those savings on to you. Viewers will be encouraged to pass it on too by Retweeting an Esurance Tweet with the hashtag #EsuranceSweepstakes. Each Retweet is an entry to win in the Esurance Pass It On Sweepstakes.



Esurance has always used innovative technology to make the insurance experience better. From Coverage Counselor, helping customers find the right coverage and qualified experts available to answer any questions, to Photo Claims, helping settle claims fairly, quickly and efficiently, Esurance is modernizing protection and empowering customers to make smart insurance decisions. The Esurance Pass It On Sweepstakes is another example of using technology to improve experiences by selecting winners in real time during the game.

“With the rise of multi-screen viewing, especially around large-scale events, we wanted to connect with fans where they are already engaging with content – online and on social media,” said Alan Gellman, Chief Marketing Officer at Esurance. “Our fully integrated program around the big game is a great example of how Esurance operates – fast, efficient and innovative in everything it does.”

The entry period for the sweepstakes begins at 12:01am PST on Feb. 4, 2016. Winners will be revealed during and following the Sunday, Feb. 7 game.
