Esther Faith Lew Joins LBB as APAC Editor in Singapore

Global data driven communication platform for the creative industries Little Black Book (LBB), today announces the appointment of Esther Faith Lew as Asia Pacific editor. The hire swiftly follows the announcement of LBB’s on-the ground expansion in the region which rolled out with the appointment of Toby Hemming as managing director, APAC in May 2022.

Based in Singapore, Esther has over 25 years experience in corporate/marketing communications as well as advertising and lifestyle/trade journalism. Prior to joining LBB, Esther was senior editor at Northstar Travel and has spent over 13 years of her career in news writing, creative writing, sub-editing and online editing roles for traditional and digital platforms.

Esther joins the team under the leadership of editor-in-chief Laura Swinton. She will be working closely with Laura, the wider editorial team and APAC managing director Toby Hemming to ramp up LBB’s editorial presence and coverage across Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

From July, Esther will spearhead a dedicated local newsletter to highlight the region’s exceptional creative work, along with insights, profiles and opinions. She will soon be joined by a reporter and content editor which will give LBB members 24-hour support and news coverage.

APAC editor, Esther Faith Lew comments: “Having spent my career honing a 360-degree perspective on content marketing and creation, it's an enormous opportunity to be joining Little Black Book in a pioneering new team that is experiencing such strong growth. The exciting thing I want to share with the creative industries in Asia Pacific is that LBB is not just a media platform; it is a community platform that serves the needs and requirements of an inclusive community. It is a toolset packed with resources that give businesses the power to make a resounding impact on the world with their creative voice. I am looking forward to forging close connections with agencies, brands, as well as film and production houses. The talents in this region are manifold and their works deserve to be discovered and highlighted. As we like to say at Little Black Book – Let Creativity Roar!"

Editor-in-chief Laura Swinton comments: "I'm beyond excited to work with Esther - as an experienced journalist with a history working as a copywriter she's going to bring a double-whammy of valuable talent and insight to the editorial team. Esther will also be able to take our coverage of the Asia Pacific creativity to the next level and engage with our community in the region as never before. I can't wait for the industry to meet her!"
