Equals MGMT Signs Kurt Schneider for International Representation

LA-based director Kurt Andrew Schneider has signed with Equals MGMT for international representation outside of the US. The Detroit native’s portfolio boasts car clients like Chevrolet, Dodge and Cadillac, as well as sports work for Wilson and Adidas reflecting his athletic background. 

An All-American track and field star in his youth, Kurt’s past has informed his approach to working with athletes at the highest level as well as sports brands. 

“I feel like my background in athletics has given me a unique perspective that can really only be gained through lived experience," says Kurt. “It helps me to know where to put the camera, but more importantly it allows me to speak the language of the athletes that I’m working with.”

His spots for Adidas as well as the impactful piece 'Inner City x Idris Elba - We All Move Together' reflect his dynamic and youthful feel, capturing the zeitgeist through performance. 

“When I’m approaching a project, it always starts with discovering the story. I’m not interested in just putting together montages of pretty images. At the very least, there has to be some form of a visual through line, a connective tissue that pulls us through a spot. I’m always looking to inject life and energy into everything that I do. I love finding ways to reveal the extraordinary in the seemingly mundane. I've been editing for as long as I can remember, and the process is completely intertwined with what directing means to me. Through storyboards or animatics, I'll typically have the spot edited before I ever step on set. This meticulous preparation allows for a free flowing set where creative ideas and inspiration can flourish.”

The signing continues Equals MGMT’s philosophy of developing young talent internationally by pitching across different genres globally.
