Engine Sport & Brand Experience – the specialist sports marketing and experiential practice at Engine Creative – has today revealed two new signings. Randy Manicks will take up the role of communications director in the Sport team with Andy Stott joining the brand experience team as business director.
The announcement is the latest in a series of new hires in a year that has seen Engine Sport & Brand Experience rebrand from its previous incarnation as agencies Synergy and Slice. In the seven months since Engines’s restructure, the agency has added the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), health and life insurance brand Vitality, and Principality Building Society to its roster to sit alongside current other clients including Just Eat, Mitsubishi Motors and Under Armour.
The two new additions to the Engine Sport & Brand Experience squad both bring a wealth of experience in sport, as well as across other disciplines as part of the agency’s commitment to creating transformational ideas and experiences that help clients win in an age of disruption.
Randy Manicks joins from Archetype with a decade of experience in consumer and lifestyle PR, both in the UK and her native New Zealand, and having previously specialised in activating luxury brands in tennis and F1. Andy Stott joins from Amplify, where he was business lead for some of the world’s leading tech and lifestyle brands.
Randy will work alongside director of communications, Matthew Fletcher-Jones, with Andy reporting to director of brand experience, Dan Keene.
“After 35 years in the industry we’ve rebranded as Engine Sport & Brand Experience and make no mistake, we’ve changed for the better. This year we’ve celebrated winning Best Campaign at the Sport Industry Awards and with new senior hires and new business wins, we’re going from strength to strength. Adding Andy and Randy to the team is the latest step in making us the most diverse, dynamic and future focused agency in the industry,” said Lisa Parfitt, MD of Engine sport & brand experience.
