With Olympic momentum in full swing, Team USA’s Track & Field Olympic Trials recently wrapped following a Grand Reopening of the famous Hayward Field, and the iconic sports complex got the stop-motion treatment in a new social media spot from creative production company Psyop and Wizz.
Dubbed 'Hayward Magic', the film takes place during a hurdling competition at the famed Hayward Stadium with a focus on one ace hurdler as he puts on a gutsy performance while being cheered on, making 'Hayward Magic' come to life. As the audience watches on, they see him passing the iconic Hayward Field tower, unable to stop, as the spot follows the hurdler through the four seasons. In the process, he overcomes everything in his way. Directed by Victor Haegelin and released to inspire a new generation of Track & Field stars, the project was produced in only a handful of weeks and created with 24 frames per second – a rare feat in stop-motion animation - resulting in a precise reproduction of the distinctive techniques and movements of high-level hurdling.view more - Creative
