Electric Glue, the independent media agency has promoted Darius Karbassioun to managing director.
Darius has been with the agency for 18 months. Previous to that, he spent most of his career at BBH, after a spell at media agency Mindshare. Over the course of 10 years at BBH Darius held a number of strategy positions. He was part of the team that established engagement planning in both BBH London and BBH China and latterly helped to establish BBH Sport in 2014. In both roles he worked closely with founding partners of Electric Glue; Kevin Brown, Simon Orpin ( ex-ITV ) and Nick Kendall ( ex-BBH )
Electric Glue was initially established five years ago as an independent media agency to support The Garage Soho. The incubator for start-ups was started by legendary creative John Hegarty and venture capitalist Tom Teichman. John is also chairman of Electric Glue. Since it’s inception, Electric Glue has attracted established clients looking for an alternative approach to the big agency networks. Names among them include, Rightmove, DW Fitness First and Freesat.
