IAPI has released the Effie Awards Ireland Index for 2021. The Effie Index identifies and ranks the most effective agencies, marketers, brands, networks, and holding companies by analysing finalist and winner data from Effie Awards Ireland.
Effie Ireland Awards provides the Irish advertising and marketing industry with their 1st ever opportunity to pitch themselves against their peers globally. Effie is a global forum that exists to lead, inspire and champion both the practice and practitioners of marketing effectiveness. Last year Ireland, through IAPI, became the latest country to adopt these world-class marketing effectiveness awards.
“Huge congratulations to those listed in the Effie Awards Ireland Index”, says Charley Stoney, CEO, IAPI. “Since every awarded entry is validated by Effie worldwide and the judging criteria is a standard set across all the Effie regions, all those listed in the Top 10 Effie Index can now take pride in comparing themselves against their peers across each of the regional Effie Index lists. The industry should be proud of the positive impact we have on the Irish Economy and now, through Effies, we have case studies that prove it.
In addition, every Irish Gold winner, announced at the virtual awards ceremony last September, will be given the opportunity to enter both the European Effie Best of the Best and the Global Effie Best of the Best in 2022.
The Effie Awards Ireland programme in 2022 includes three Effectiveness Events organised by IAPI this April. On Wednesday, Kay McCarthy, CEO and founder, MCCP and Margaret Gilsenan, chief strategy officer, Boys + Girls ran a comprehensive in-person event in The Radisson, Golden Lane on ‘Insights for effectiveness’.
Next up is Andy Pierce, group strategy director, Core, (the agency at the top of the Effie Awards Ireland Index), and Loic Mercer, chief strategy officer, TBWA Paris. Their talk will be a live studio broadcast on 13th April, entitled “Double Your Value through Effective Thinking”.
“We’re delighted to top the inaugural Effie Index in Ireland and are grateful to IAPI for bringing Effies to Ireland. Effectiveness is central to our culture in Core. It is the reason why successful brands advertise”, says Andy Pierce, group strategy director, Core. “We’ve recently launched a new eight-module training course on the principles of effective advertising. To thrive as an industry we must again be accountable to results and understand how to deliver them.”
Finally, to complete IAPI Effectiveness Series, Will Grundy, head of planning, Adam & Eve will join us on 20th April to share his insights: “F-ing Effective: The three Fs of Effectiveness”.
