Dan joins following a successful 19 years as an editor and director of the company at Final Cut. Across multiple formats, he excels at capturing a story’s emotional core to deliver captivating films through a poetic and at times frenetic approach to editing, with sound design playing an important role.
Quickly becoming one of the most sought-after editors in London, Dan honed his skills editing promos for top artists. Now a two-time winner of the UKMVA Best Editor award, he has amassed a portfolio of renowned work for the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, U2, Hot Chip, Bicep, George Michael, and Wu-Tang Clan.
Dan’s narrative work covers both feature film and television drama projects, most recently editing ‘Gangs of London’ series two for HBO and Sky, and Guy Richie’s ‘The Gentlemen’ for Netflix. His 2017 project, ‘Kissing Candice’, directed by Aoife McCardle, was screened as part of the official selection at TIFF and Berlinale, where it had its European premiere.

Widely celebrated in the commercial world, Dan features regularly in Televisual’s annual list of advertising’s Top Ten Editors, and has earned multiple nominations for Shots’ Editor of the Year award.
His advertising work has also been recognised at several of the industry’s biggest festival ceremonies, most recently winning a Cannes Lion for The New York Times’ ‘The Truth Takes a Journalist’ with Droga 5 New York. In a single year, Dan received Creative Circle and Ciclope Golds on top of a Silver Cannes Lion for Lucozade’s ‘Anthony Joshua: Made to Move’, in addition to a D&AD pencil for Absolut’s ‘Equal Love’. His work on Under Armour’s ‘It Comes From Below’ has also earned him Editing awards at AICE, including the prestigious Best in Show.
