Dutch Digital Design, officially registered as a foundation earlier this year, has launched their new website – sharing the best digital work produced in the Netherlands, as well as inspiring and in-depth articles, news and events about digital design.
The website was launched last Thursday, during the first Dutch Digital Design Annual Dinner - with 24 Partner Agencies and the collective’s first partner brand, Adyen, at the amazing new offices of Dutch global creative production company, and Agency Partner, MediaMonks, in Amsterdam.
A Dutch Digital Design platform
The brand-new website, aimed at an international audience of potential new clients and talent, promotes Dutch digital work in a playful and striking way. Sebastiaan Scheer, MediaMonks, board member, comments: “We wanted a dynamic platform representing the best digital work produced in the Netherlands.”
The website is also a collaboration between Dutch agencies Nok Nok Studio and Momkai, who designed and built the site. Martijn van Dam, Momkai, comments: “It was a fantastic challenge to translate the Dutch Digital Design philosophy into a website.”
Jim Haakman, Nok Nok Studio, said: “When designing the website, we considered how to push Dutch Digital Design further, and establish it as an internationally appealing brand, and platform. We deliberately set the bar high, because that is what Dutch Digital Design deserves.”
Adyen, Dutch Digital Design’s first partner brand
Bert Hagendoorn, chairman, Dutch Digital Design, also announced that the collective will be partnering with brands supporting and promoting Dutch Digital Design. With the support of these collaborative partnerships, Dutch Digital Design can grow as an organisation, and involve even more design professionals, with different backgrounds.
Jeroen de Lange, head of design at Adyen – Dutch Digital Design’s first partner brand, comments: “By joining Dutch Digital Design we are fuelling the potential of this great initiative. At the same time, we are also given the opportunity to promote our internal agency Adyen Design, and exchange valuable knowledge with the best digital design agencies from the Netherlands.”
Submitting Dutch Digital Design cases
Every Dutch agency, brand, production company or designer can submit their own digital design projects, or Dutch digital projects made by others that truly impressed them. A panel of creative experts, the Dutch Digital Design curators, judge the work looking at five criteria: aesthetics, usability, creativity, content and effectiveness. The best cases are then shared on the Dutch Digital Design website, social media channels, and partner channels, including local-and international media. In addition, Dutch Digital Design’s network of speakers promotes the Dutch Digital Design vision, and cases, at events around the globe.
