Droga5 Wins Global Farfetch Business

Farfetch, the luxury online retailer, has appointed Droga5 to handle its global advertising account.

The agency’s European office won the business following a pitch against seven other agencies in London and New York.  The appointment of Droga5 is the site’s first creative agency engagement.

Droga5 will create a print, digital and experiential campaign to increase awareness of the Farfetch brand in key markets globally.  

Farfetch, which launched in 2008, is a pioneering website bringing together more than 300 of the world's best independent designer boutiques, from Paris, New York and Milan to Bucharest, Helsinki and Ibiza; allowing customers to shop an unparalleled range of labels and pieces. 

The site offers products from established luxury fashion while also supporting emerging designers. It recently gained significant funding from private equity firm Vitruvian Partners, with Condé Nast International and Advent Ventures participating in the round. 

Stephanie Horton, Chief Marketing Officer at Farfetch, said: "Droga5 grasped our strategic challenges immediately and offered us a fully integrated creative solution that will help us to deliver on our 2015 marketing aims."
