Draftfcb New York and Paris have just launched a new campaign for Oreo the world’s favourite cookie, to celebrate its 100th birthday. With more than 25 million fans on its global Facebook page alone, and enjoyed in more than 100 countries, today the Oreo brand is the world’s top selling cookie.
As part of the global celebration for the 100th birthday, Draftfcb is breaking new advertising that features Oreo playing a role in some of the most memorable moments of the last 100 years. It’s all about engaging or re-engaging that spirit of childhood.
Great print executions developed by Draftfcb’s French and U.S teams capture cultural moments in history and are breaking in the U.S.A., U.K. and around the world.
As well as breaking in People magazine’s Oscar edition, it is also being featured for two weeks on a digital out-of-home board in New York’s Times Square.
The TV commercials are all about moments, making sure we keep the kid alive in all of us, no matter how complicated life gets. Both spots are directed by award-winning film maker Erroll Morris, featuring kids staging Oreo interventions with adults who need to reconnect with their inner kid.
Draftfcb has handled Oreo since 1986.
