Draftfcb Malaysia has made two senior appointments with the hire of new Executive Creative Director Rupert England and Head of AV Kee Keng Sooi.
Keng joins Draftfcb from Saatchi & Saatchi and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with an impressive career spanning more than 26 years. She has worked with big brands and on successful campaigns such as Tourism Malaysia’s “Malaysia Truly Asia”, for which she picked up multiple award-wins.
Previously Regional CD for Lowe and based in Singapore, England has worked for numerous reputable agencies in South East Asia and his home-country of South Africa including TBWA, Y&R, Grey and McCann Worldwide. With more than two decades industry experience, across four continents he has created highly-successful local, regional and global campaigns for brands like Coca-Cola, Virgin Atlantic, Jumeirah International, Sony and Singapore Airlines.
“An important focus for Draftfcb in Asia-Pacific this year is improving our creative product and Rupert is the right guy to lead the charge in Malaysia’s competitive market,” said James Mok Regional ECD. “His fresh thinking and acute cultural appreciation coupled with a real connection with the country makes him ideal for the role,” he added.
England’s award-wins number at more than 50 with award highlights including two Gold and one Silver Cannes Lion, a United Nations medal for a public service campaign, Spikes Asia Awards and at least one of each major South African Advertising Awards.
