Solomon brings client experience from YouTube, Spotify, Google, Instagram and Bonobos to grow brand-consulting offering

Today Goodby Silverstein & Partners (GS&P) announced that Dr. Eric Solomon has joined the agency as head of GS&P Brand Camp. In this role Solomon will expand the agency’s Brand Camp offering as a growth engine that partners with C-suite leadership to drive business change and accelerate growth. Offering solutions across every part of the customer journey, GS&P Brand Camp will diversify its model under Solomon to include a suite of strategic creative products to help transform businesses through the lens of creative problem-solving.

“Originally created for start-ups, Brand Camp has unlocked opportunities for GS&P to expand beyond best-in-class advertising,” said Bonnie Wan, partner and head of brand strategy at GS&P. “We’re thrilled to welcome Eric. Eric brings depth and breadth of client-side experience as CMO of Bonobos and as a key builder of brand strategy at YouTube, Instagram, Google and Spotify. Not only will his leadership fuel the expansion of Brand Camp into consulting services, but it will make GS&P an even more effective partner in driving business value for our clients.”

Solomon joins one of GS&P’s fastest growing offerings. Brand Camp grew by 66% in 2021—with accelerated brand workshops for Blackstone Group’s largest portfolio company, Link Logistics; Kraft Heinz; Frito-Lay Rold Gold; and Alder Fuels.

Solomon has worked at the intersection of human psychology, brand building, technology and creativity for more than 20 years. In 2019 he founded the Human OS, an independent consulting practice that helps organizations, executive teams and their leaders articulate what they stand for and how that translates into accountable, measurable, real-world actions.

“One thing I’ve learned across all the places I’ve worked is that it’s the people who make a place what it is,” said Solomon. “GS&P has always been an agency that puts human beings (people, not just consumers) at the center of their business, which is what I believe has helped them thrive for nearly 40 years. Now, as we enter a new phase of growth, I could not be more excited to build on the success of Brand Camp and bring new thinking, new offerings and new innovation to our clients and to the industry at large.”

Solomon entered the business world through the doors of academia, earning a master’s and a PhD in cognitive psychology prior to leading research and strategy for two award-winning creative agencies. As part of his consulting practice, he has worked with leaders and teams across a wide range of firms, from emerging start-ups and nonprofits to long-established enterprises.
