Rapidly growing product and platform-development company Double Nines has made two hires to its team: Scott Potter as head of product and Scott Kosman as engineering director.
In his new role, Potter handles lead product strategy and management for all Double Nines clients and helps support the company’s growth. He is focused on new businesses within client Ryder, such as COOP and TORQUE. He has extensive experience in digital product strategy for a range of companies including TeamSnap, BCycle, WorkMarket, Photobucket, Little Cinema Digital, Twitter, American Express, Domino’s, and Vail.
Potter led a complex product and multidisciplined team at Photobucket and at global digital firms CP+B and EVB. He guided the integration of CP+B Europe with the US office and expanded revenue channels and increased profitability for clients with new or reinvented products.
“Double Nines has been growing rapidly, and we were looking for a trusted leader who was dedicated to building world-class products,” said Alex Corr, partner/COO. “We’ve collaborated with Scott for over a decade, and his experience driving the vision for world-class brands like American Express and startups like BCycle and Photobucket will help our partners push their business to the next level.”
Kosman is a 20-year veteran of the tech industry who has directed and built digital products for some of the world's most recognizable brands, including the NHL, Panasonic, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Old Spice, Microsoft, Google, Subaru, Coca-Cola, and NBC Universal. Beyond development, he’s been at the forefront of digital transformation for adidas, pushing the envelope of e-commerce for the Originals, Football, Running, and Yeezy business units while driving the emergence of adidas.com as the company’s single most profitable sales channel.
Kosman’s client focus is COOP by Ryder. He will lead Double Nines’ engineering team for Coop.com, including web and application development, technology strategy, data engineering, and development operations.
“Scott has an incredible background leading large teams around the world at adidas and some of the most innovative digital agencies, Partner/CTO Joe Corr explained. “The COOP business is growing rapidly in 2022, and we were looking for a leader who can scale both technology platforms and products as well as our team of engineers.”
Joe and Alex Corr opened Double Nines in 2018 to turn ideas into valuable businesses by building great products and platforms and making products and platforms that transform existing businesses. Their definition of products includes more than physical ones. For instance, they see customer and employee experiences as a product.
The Corrs came from creative shop CP+B. Joe was CP+B’s head of technology and creative director, and he has 25 years of experience building digital products and platforms for large global enterprises. While there, he worked on the much-heralded Domino’s campaigns that saved the company from bankruptcy and irrelevance.
