Photoplay Films' director Tom Noakes’ irreverent ‘Finger Cleaner’ spot has made it into the finals of the Doritos Crash the Super Bowl competition naming the Aussie director the only international contender for the major prize.
This exciting news follows on from Finger Cleaner’s semi-finalist win, announced in December 2013. It's the first time the U.S. based annual competition has opened up to global entries, and Tom’s submission is one of just five ads to make the finals; a life changing achievement for both Tom and Photoplay.
Finger Cleaner has hit a sweet spot with global audiences, unsettling hordes of viewers after going viral within a week of its release. With more than 1.6 million hits on YouTube, it is the most viewed ad in the competition so far.
The Super Bowl match is played on February 2nd 2014 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The competition winner will be announced at the game and earn its creators one million dollars in prize money. Let’s get the whole country voting once a day per device between now and February so 'Finger Cleaner' can well and truly Crash the Super Bowl.
