Sizzer Amsterdam has just finished the music for the new Diesel Loverdose campaign. Their remix of classic track ‘Love To Love You’ features re-recorded vocals from the late, great Donna Summers. The track was the result of an exclusive remix project for advertising agency Fred & Farid Paris and L’Oreal.
While the original recording was deemed a great match for the brand, Summers was brought onboard to sing a new version of the song that reflected the underlying sexiness of the film and perfume.
“We tend to have a curious attitude when it comes to finding out which new sounds fit the brand
we’re working with,” said Marcel A. Wiebenga, music supervisor and new business developer
at Sizzer Amsterdam. “The aim, as always, is to find a unique sound for each brand.” To
achieve this Sizzer asked exciting newcomers & in-house artists like RipTide, Moonlight
Matters, Bas Bron and Mike Mago to make their own remix version of the classic hit.
In the end it was Mike Mago’s remix that was deemed to have the perfect sultry vibe. Michiel Marsman, Creative Director of Sizzer Amsterdam said, ‘Of all the remixes Mago’s remix was the best fit, with its spell binding bassline, that reaches out and plants itself in the depths of your soul. With his remix we have found a perfect sound for the Loverdose perfume. It really brings out the sexy vibe of the film”.
Sizzer, Fred & Farid and L’Oreal are currently exploring different ways to release the Diesel Loverdose EP, with Mike Mago remix and the remixes of some of the other artists as a full length tracks. The Diesel Loverdose commercial is now airing on TV worldwide.
