Doggy Dads Get a Father's Day 'Drop' in Campaign from Deutsch LA

This upcoming Father’s Day PetSmart and Deutsch LA wanted to doo-doo something special for the fathers of four-leggeds. The agency dreamt up a limited-edition product drop of funny Father’s Day Greeting Card Poop Bags. The drop features six special edition designs inspired by all the Dog Dads out there that do anything and everything for pets. The funny messages are printed on poop bags, so they will feel appreciated every time they pick up after their pups.

Designs feature messages like: 

· “Dad, your pick-up game is no joke.”

· “Our relationship is solid. Love ya, Dad.”

· “Hey Dad, thanks for dealing with my crap.”

· “Dad, thanks for everything you doo-doo.”

· "Dad, you’re #1 for picking up my #2.”

· “We’re a stinkin’ great team. Happy Father’s Day.”

“We’ll do Anything for Pets and their parents, and we are excited to offer this special way to celebrate dog dads,” said Will Smith, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at PetSmart. “We strive to give pet parents and pets unique, one-of-a-kind items and experiences that bring them closer together – whether that’s through the free, limited-edition drops we share or the expertly curated products we offer in our stores.”

Ryan Lehr, Deutsch LA’s executive creative director went on to say: “We know there are a lot of great pet daddy’s out there, so we wanted to give them the perfect little gift for their dog’s little gifts. Cause hey, it’s Father’s Day, no father should get their hands dirty on this special day. Because “Anything for Pets” also means “Anything for Pet Parents.” And as a proud cat dad, I think I can safely say these will also work on cat poop. I’m gonna try at least."

The Father’s Day Poop Bag Cards giveaway was hosted at AnythingForPets.com beginning from June 9th. Consumers could 'scoop up' their favourite designs. The product drop went fast, with 2,250 bag packs given away in two minutes flat.
